Start the check
Three steps, about ten minutes. You need access to your WHMCS files, via FTP or the file manager of your hosting panel.
-
Download the scanner
You get a file called w2b-scan.php. It contains your personal access key, so it only works for you.
Download scanner -
Run the scanner
The scanner has to run on the server where your WHMCS is installed. Choose one of the two options.
Option A: in the browser (recommended, no SSH needed)
- Log in with your FTP program (for example FileZilla) or the file manager of your hosting panel.
- Open the folder where WHMCS is installed. You recognise it by the file configuration.php and the folders admin, modules and templates.
- Upload the file w2b-scan.php into exactly this folder, right next to configuration.php.
-
Enter the address of your WHMCS here and open the link that appears below.
Your personal scanner link:
https://billing.your-company.com/w2b-scan.php?key=02658b0493428b4072430337&lang=en
Open scanner - The scanner page already shows the WHMCS folder. If you already have a Blesta installation, enter its folder there. Click "Create scan". Your browser downloads the file scan.json.
- Afterwards, delete w2b-scan.php from your server.
Option B: via SSH (for technicians)
Upload w2b-scan.php to your home directory and replace the paths in the commands with your own.
WHMCS only (no Blesta yet):
php w2b-scan.php --whmcs-path=/var/www/whmcs --out=scan.json
WHMCS and existing Blesta:
php w2b-scan.php --whmcs-path=/var/www/whmcs --blesta-path=/var/www/blesta --out=scan.json
Where do I find the Blesta folder?
Only needed if Blesta is already installed, for example from an earlier attempt. It is the folder containing the subfolder config with the file blesta.php. With it, the scanner sees what has already been transferred and which plugins are missing in Blesta.
